AMA racers arrived Tuesday at the New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, NJ to get a feel for the new Thunderbolt circuit. Dane Westby, #213 is our sponsored rider at KneeDraggers.com, so I was lucky enough to be invited along to grab some shots. After a rainy start on Tuesday morning, there were mixed feelings about the safety of the track, ranging from drainage issues, close walls, and the need for gravel in certain spots. Apparently, the decision to hold the race there in September was given the thumbs up by the safety council, despite those concerns. Labor Day weekend should be a good one, and I know I’ll be looking forward to it.
I’ll have more images of the other riders up later this weekend. There were just too many to sort through in a day or two.
