AMA racers arrived Tuesday at the New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, NJ to get a feel for the new Thunderbolt circuit. After a rainy start on Tuesday morning, there were mixed feelings about the safety of the track, ranging from drainage issues, close walls, and the need for gravel in certain spots. Apparently, the decision to hold the race there in September was given the thumbs up by the safety council, despite those concerns. Labor Day weekend should be a good one, and I know I’ll be looking forward to it.
