Where to begin. It’s hard to imagine we crammed everything we did into a single week. In the interests of keeping this concise and to the point, I’ll just say that Colorado is one of the greatest places on planet Earth. Had an absolutely fantastic visit, and I hope to return there again sometime soon (next time with snow!). This journey changed my entire outlook on life and gave me “yet another new perspective” on just about everything. Talk to everyone soon, great to be back home and in one piece… i think
(Looking back on it, I could’ve just stayed out there and been pretty happy!)

Stunning photographs Joel-beautiful as always. Ths will be my last year teaching (hard to believe I’ve been at it for 36 years) then I’m going to hit the road. Although my passion is birds I’d like to expand and try other subject matter. Loved your landscapes. Were you on an organized (or disorganized) photo tour? Sounds like you did your own thing. See you at Barnegat soon.
Hey Harris, thanks for the comments and kind words… To answer your question: Nope! No photo tours here, just a lot of long nights studying google maps and coming up with a “circular route” of my own. We flew into Denver on Saturday, drove northwest to Estes Park for a few days, then headed south to Purgatory/Durango on Tuesday, and then started heading back to Denver on Friday (via the Great Sand Dunes on the way). It was a lot of driving, but there’s SO much to see out there. Can’t wait to go back, but might have to hit Yellowstone next year
– Talk to you soon!
