Rumors from Rob Galbraith about a “New AF fix for the 1dMKIII”

I’m not sure what to think. On one hand, I’m happy that they’re still working on squashing any bugs that remain with the autofocus of the mkIII. OTOH, I wish they would have just waited a month or two to figure all this out so folks could just get it all over with at once. If this rumor proves to be true, it’ll mean I’ll have to send in my mkIII again – making that three (3) trips to the Canon service center within six months to get a working camera. Still no word from the service center about the status or fix for my weird sensor problem… last Thursday I received an email stating it was “received & accepted for warranty repair.” Guess I’ll just have to wait and see.
