5D Mark II Release Date – Nov 29th 2008

Canon Japan has finally confirmed a solid date for the release of the new 5D (translated).  Several reports from DPReview.com users say that many stores all over the world will have stock allocated to them on or by that date. Exactly how many Canon will be releasing to the US is still anyone’s guess, but hopefully it’ll be enough to fill a decent percentage of the pre-orders. I hoping I’ll be able to have mine in my hands sometime in early December. There are also some rumors that Canon decided to release the 5D on this date because of Nikon’s new hush-hush Full Frame 24mp D3x that’s supposed to be coming soon. :p
