Dover Air Show 2009

After an extremely stormy and muddy Saturday, I trekked back Sunday to catch the action at Dover AFB. It was a very good show, and the weather (while cloudy and slightly windy) was pretty cooperative. Lugging along the 500 f4 was totally worth it, and I switched between it and the 300 f2.8 frequently all day. Many thanks to all the people, military and civilian, who made it possible for the public to enjoy such a show. Note for next time though: If you're expecting 100,000+ people, and the only way for them to get off base as soon as the show ends is via a 15 minute shuttle bus ride (one way), please… please provide more than 15 shuttle buses to get the job done just a tad faster.
