Windows 7 pricing and upgrade discount (ends soon!)

If you think you’ll be upgrading your version of Windows XP or Vista in the fall, you may want to take advantage of a special deal from Microsoft.
Retail versions of Windows 7 will be shipping on October 22nd 2009 and Microsoft plans to charge $119 for Home Premium, $199 for Professional and $219 for Ultimate.
Until July 11th however, customers in the USA will be able to purchase an upgrade copy of Windows 7 Home premium for $49 or Windows 7 Professional for $99. This offer applies to folks running XP and Windows Vista PCs. The upgrade will be available via Best Buy, Amazon, Microsoft’s own store, Office Max, Office Depot, Costco, Staples and Wal-Mart. Get ‘em while you can.
