Business cards from MOO

Two words: Absolutely stunning.

The folks over at moo.com deserve a round of applause for several reasons…

A) Ordering process – doesn't get much easier than the interface they've created. Bing, bang boom – you're done. Hardest part will be picking the 50 images you want on your cards.

B) Clearly stated instructions regarding sizes, resolutions, bleeds, etc… I didn't have to hunt around one iota to find any information about what kind of files they accepted.

C) Unique ability to have 50 different images, one on each card. Like having a portfolio in your pocket, this alone was the reason I wanted to try them out. Really cool. If you don't want fifty different ones, upload 10 images and you'll get 5 of each, etc..

D) Quality for price… The card stock is extra thick, which I really like in a business card. I chose the MOO Classic (matte laminated) which is just as it's described. Kind of a velvety-matte finish… very nice (and smudge resistant!) Also, printing on both sides is hard to come by for that price & thickness ($21.99 x 50 cards).

E) Packaging… really, really impressed here. Whoever they have on their design / marketing team should be congratulated. They've managed to produce a simple product that feels like a tremendous value for the money, and the packaging is unique, modern, classy, and functional. Well done guys.

Each person that's seen the cards so far has been totally wowed, which is exactly my goal with a business card.  It's also really handy to be able to say to someone "Here you go, take a look at a few of these and pick one or two that you really like." They get to see a mini-portfolio of your work physically "in-hand" during the process. Powerful stuff. When the cards arrived, I couldn't help but think of this scene in American Psycho…"look at that subtle off-white coloring… the tasteful thickness of it…" lol… in all seriousness, they are incredibly nice.

I can say with conviction that I'll be placing several more orders with moo.com in the near future. My first set of 50 are almost gone :) Thank you MOO!
